Welcome to Durham Women’s Clinic
Personalized, friendly and dedicated obstetric, gynecological and midwifery care for women in Durham, Brier Creek, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Roxboro and the greater North Carolina Triangle Area from expert and caring providers.
We offer a full range of obstetric and gynecologic services as well as special extras, such as midwifery services and Centering Pregnancy classes. Se habla Español.
Our board certified physicians in obstetrics and gynecology, our physician’s assistant, and our certified nurse midwives work as a team to give you personalized care. Women’s Health Alliance Durham has three obstetric physicians, a physician’s assistant, and five midwives. Our midwives are available 24/7 and have appointments at our location, our Brier Creek satellite office, and at Chapel Hill OB/Gyn.
Midwifery at Women’s Health Alliance launched in September 2011 to the delight and enthusiastic reception of our current and new patients. Our Brier Creek satellite location is specifically for midwifery services, which we offer here and at Chapel Hill Obstetrics and Gynecology in addition to our full range of obstetrics and gynecology services. Please click HERE to browse and enjoy our additional website dedicated solely to our midwifery service offerings.
From the time young women begin menstruation to the time older women pass their child bearing years, thorough gynecological care is critical to the physical and mental health of our patients. We listen to your concerns, discuss preventative and curative health measures with you, and treat you as if you are our own family member.
Infertility is a delicate and emotionally straining issue, yet an important aspect of our current population’s health concerns. We are up to date on all of the technological advances as well as traditional treatments for infertility. With your input, we address the symptoms and causes. More importantly, we help you find solutions. Our goal is the same as yours: to help you conceive and bring a healthy baby into your family and our community.
Within a woman’s lifetime, it is possible that the need will arise for pelvic surgery. Our physicians are trained in state-of-the-art surgical procedures, most of which can be scheduled on an outpatient basis at Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center on Carver Street in Durham. Specialties include hysterectomy and solutions for pelvic prolapse and incontinence.

This widely popular and ever-growing form of prenatal care allows our obstetric patients to receive personalized attention with the added benefit of a group setting where stories and concerns are shared for the benefit of the group at large.

Women’s Health Alliance is pleased to offer well-woman yoga classes, prenatal yoga, and Baby and Me yoga for those in our community. You don’t have to be a WHA patient to join us!

Today we want to thank all the staff at Durham Women’s OB/GYN but a huge and special thanks to Dr. Barrett Gunter and Dr. Frank Frenduto. Without these two men my angel would not be here.
