Laura White grew up near Minneapolis, MN and earned her B.A. from Hamline University in St. Paul. After stints in Tacoma, WA and Boston, MA working in mental health, she landed in Durham for nursing school and never left. Laura graduated from Duke University School of Nursing and found her calling in Women’s Health first as a doula, then as a Labor & Delivery RN at Duke Regional. She completed her MSN at Frontier Nursing University and is Board Certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She loves all facets of women’s and gender-related healthcare, especially contraception, preparing for birth, support through perimenopause, and working toward equity in healthcare.
Laura lives in Durham with her husband, son and daughter. You’ll probably see them around town on the playground, at the farmer’s market, or hiking at the Eno.
