Obstetrics
At Durham Women’s Clinic, we work as a team to provide our patients with personalized care. We have physicians in obstetrics and gynecology, a physician’s assistant, and certified nurse midwives to help create the obstetrics experience that is right for you.
We offer a traditional model of prenatal care as well as group prenatal care classes known as Centering Pregnancy. In addition to low risk pregnancies, we take care of many high-risk obstetrical conditions, including twins, hypertension, diabetes, and vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC).
Appointments can be made at our Durham office or our satellite office in Brier Creek. We deliver babies at Duke Regional Hospital and both a physician and midwife are on call 24 hours a day.
All prenatal labs, ultrasounds, and genetic screening tests are conveniently completed in our office. We also offer multiple wellness services to enhance your obstetrics experience including prenatal yoga, childbirth education, and breastfeeding classes.
CenteringPregnancy®
We offer group prenatal care designed to engage mothers and partners through the journey of pregnancy. This model of care follows a similar traditional prenatal course, but your visits last 90 minutes, so you have plenty of time to address questions and concerns. Women develop self-confidence and self-care skills. Many of our families develop lifelong friendships.
