At Durham Women’s Clinic we believe in body positivity and embracing your body at every age, stage, and size. This isn’t a “diet” and it’s not about your jean size… it’s about your physical and emotional well-being. It’s about achieving and maintaining a weight that allows you to live a more engaged, active, and healthier life. It’s about decreasing your risks for disease and becoming the best version of yourself. This is about changing lifestyle habits and thinking about your relationship with food, exercise and mindfulness to improve your overall health.

Am I a candidate?

  • Do you have a desire to improve your overall health?

  • A BMI of 30 and above

  • A BMI of 27 and above with other medical conditions

  • 6 months postpartum and interested in weight loss

  • Perimenopause or Menopausal weight loss 

Our medically supervised weight loss program includes:

  • Initial evaluation

  • Comprehensive review of overall health conditions and current medications

  • Labs for medical conditions and nutritional deficiencies 

  • Meal plan tailored to your needs and lifestyle 

  • Handouts and Guides

  • Medications if indicated

  • Follow up care plan as appropriate 

 
After meeting with Michele Kessler and discussing weight loss, I decided that medication was not the right road for me. We discussed healthy lifestyle changes; and decided that was a better option for me. Since starting my lifestyle change January 4th, I have lost 37lbs, and counting!
